Today

Our Firm

Three Generations.
One Mission.

Donald "Mac" MacPherson founded this practice in 1978 with a single conviction: that every American — regardless of income, political views, or prior mistakes — deserves skilled, principled representation when the federal government comes for them.

His son Nathan carried that conviction through law school, into federal courts across the country, and into a practice spanning criminal tax defense, civil controversy, and complex international matters. Nathan is admitted in California, Idaho, and — uniquely — as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales. He trained at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Frankfurt and London. He has argued before the IRS, Tax Court, and federal courts in 25 states.

Today, Nathan's son Noah works alongside him as a paralegal — the third generation in a family that has never treated tax defense as a transaction.

"We passed the bar before AI. We know these cases from the inside — not from an algorithm."
— Nathan MacPherson, J.D.
